The Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon begins at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 5 and continues until 6:00 p.m. Labor Day. The National show hosted by Jerry Lewis for the 45th year will originate from Las Vegas and local segments will be at Bass Pro Shops Boat Showroom.
The show will be seen on KOLR 10 for the 41st year with emcees Joy Robertson and David Oliver. Live remotes will also be done from Branson Landing with host Tom Trtan.

Pancake Breakfast for Fran Betler Hodgkins-Lymphoma Foundation

The breakfast will be held at the Republic Community Center and donations for the event will be accepted at the door in support of the Fran Betler Hodgkins-Lymphoma Foundation. 8th Annual SW MO Celtic Heritage Festival

The 8th Annual SW MO Celtic Heritage Festival & Highland Games in Buffalo, MO, located on East Ramsey St. at the Old City Park and Fairgrounds will begin with the Calling of the Clans on Friday evening, Sept. 10th at 6:00 PM There will be clan tents, vendors, food, and entertainment on the main stage all evening. The festivities for Friday night are free to the public. This will give people a chance to purchase advance tickets for the all day Saturday festivities. They will save $2 per ticket by purchasing them in advance.
Saturday festivities begin at 9:00 AM and go till 5:00 PM The Kilties from Springfield, MO will be returning this year to perform at our Official Ceremonies at noon and our featured band is the Tullamore. New this year is the Scottish Sword Fighting demonstrations, all day Chess game, new vendors, additional Kiddie Games with a make it and take it booth for the children. Returning is Scotty the Fox, the Archery Group, demonstrations, spinners, Birds of Prey, Clydesdale horses providing carriage rides and numerous other activities to keep you entertained all day. There are twelve entertainers and dancers on three stages throughout the day. Don't forget to come and enjoy the Athletic Highland Games and be amazed at these athletes strength. The Rose Society of the Ozarks will have their annual Rose Show on Saturday September 11, 2010 at the Library Center, 4653 South Campbell. The public is welcome to bring roses that can be entered between 7:00-11:00am. There will be judging by A.R.S. judges. Family Wellness Event at Akin's Natural Foods
